Alliance Between Black Politicians And Criminals
What a Scandal.

Here’s a brief summary of the article:
Several Chicago aldermen were named as political figures who have met and/or formed alliances with local street gangs.
The Current Names Mentioned:
Alderman Howard Brookins (21st Ward)
Alderman Walter Burnett (27th Ward)
Alderman Willie Cochran (20th Ward)
Alderman Pat Dowell (3rd Ward)
Former Alderman Darcel Beavers (7th Ward)
Former Alderman Freddrenna Lyle (6th Ward) (Appointed as a Cook County Judge)
Aldermanic Candidate Roderick Sawyer (Current Alderman 6th Ward)
Aldermanic Candidate Michael Chandler (Current Alderman 24th Ward)
Commissioner Patricia Horton (Metropolitan Water Reclamation District) (Candidate for City Clerk)
Now, let me say, this is from the article and not from me. I’m sure some will say that it hasn’t yet been officially proven, but the authors of this story would not have written it if they didn’t have their sources.
There is so much to consider:
Why was this story written?
What is the bottom line?
Where do I start this discussion?
Let’s start with Chicago’s Ward Remapping:
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that this story comes out at a time where ward remapping is tearing apart Chicago’s City Council. Black, White, and Hispanic Aldermen are all fighting over restructured ward maps. In a previous posting, I mentioned that the Black IDIOT politicians want to destroy one of Chicago’s best wards, the Sixth Ward, home of some of the more stable middle class Black neighborhoods in the nation – Chatham, Chesterfield, West Chesterfield, and Roseland Heights. They want to split the Sixth Ward in half, giving the Business Section to a pathetic, do nothing Black politician in the neighboring Ninth Ward (who is a STAUNCH OPPONENT to your right to defend yourself from criminals). Instead, the Black aldermen want to assign the Sixth Ward almost half of Englewood (one of the poorest and most dangerous areas in Chicago, if not the nation).
Here’s the IRONY!
The Hispanic proposal actually leaves most of the Sixth Ward alone. They are only concerned with areas where they exist. In the process, a few “do nothing” Black aldermen would probably lose their seats.
So, let’s see:
Lose a few “do nothing” Black politicians or destroy the communities of thousands of decent, hard working, law abiding Black citizens.
You readers know where I stand!!!!!
And the final twist?
Along with the support of the Hispanic aldermen, the Mayor of Chicago is considering reducing the City Council from 50 to 25 seats. If it ever goes to referendum, we all know the citizens of Chicago would go for it. Yet, the Black aldermen are too arrogant to believe this would happen (which would significantly reduce their numbers by far more than a few seats).
Handguns and Concealed Carry:
The Black politicians of Cook County are against the rights of law-abiding citizens to have Concealed Carry to protect themselves from criminals.
Up until now, I’ve been saying these Black politicians are flunkies to their political plantation masters (Daley, Madigan, Quinn, Emanuel). However, it seems to be much worse. Could these Black politicians also be the obedient, “bend-over whores”, of the criminals? It does not take much thinking to know that the criminals of Chicago do not want law-abiding citizens to have Concealed Carry. What better way to achieve this than to influence the no-good rotten Black politicians to prevent YOU from being able to legally protect yourself from these criminal creatures of EVIL!
Jobs/Contracts:
These criminals are given jobs and/or contracts for their support.
So,
If you are a law-abiding citizen or clean-cut young person, you get NOTHING!
If you are a criminal or ex-criminal, jobs and/or contracts are given to you!
Moral of the story:
Commit a crime, go to jail, get out of jail, threaten the community, and you will be put ahead of the law-abiding citizen. After all, going out of your way to help a piece of garbage criminal over a good person is the “Christian” thing to do.
What about all of these Community Organizations and Activists?
As stated in the article, many supposed former criminals have formed community organizations and nonprofits, in order to get access to government money.
Instead of actually growing regular businesses, too many Black folks are forming community nonprofits. And, in some cases, we now know why!
Other Ethnicities Do It, Too.
The article did mention alliances between criminals and White/Latino aldermen.
We all know the long history of “Chicago Politics and Criminal Alliances”.
However, on this blog, the focus is on the “here and now” that affects the Black community. So, stick to what’s in front of you, and leave the emotions and excuses somewhere else.
What’s the bottom line?
WAKE UP, BLACK PEOPLE OF CHICAGO!!!
STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR BAD BEHAVIOR!!!
OUR CURRENT BLACK POLITICIANS MUST GO!!!
UN-ELECT ALL OF THEM IN UPCOMING ELECTIONS!!!

The bottom line is that Chicago magazine has and continues to be Pro- Rahm (remember he was a cover story), so the timing of this article wasn’t coincidental. As it stated they are former gang members who frankly have smarten up and are using the system that once made them public enemy number one to their advantage and asking elected officials what do they plan to do for their constituents is not illegal;. Yes some of the alderman we would not miss if they could not win reelection. Based on the 3 possible scenarios the 6th ward would be best served by the latino caucus map and the reduction in wards.
The bottom line to all of this non story was simply put by the late Harold Washington “This is politics and not tidlywinks”.
Like I said in my posting, the timing of this article being released while Emanuel is thinking about reducing the Council from 50 to 25 is more than coincidental.
However, this IS a major story on so many levels:
Nothing yet has been proven illegal, but Politicians who are in debt to criminals will turn their heads to the crimes they perpetrate, at some point. The fact that they are “former” criminals doesn’t guarantee they won’t associate with others who are still criminals. Yes, some of them have wised up and cleaned up their acts. There are quite a few groups of former criminals who have turned their lives around and are an inspiration for those in similar circumstances. However, Chicago has an unfortunate history of former criminals who used the “system” to engage in new criminal activities. Besides, like I already mentioned previously, why should criminals get priority preferential treatment over people who have never committed crimes. In most cases, the criminal and the law-abiding person probably came from the same circumstances, yet one did wrong and one did right. The criminals messed up, so they need to get in line behind the people who are law-abiding. If they can’t handle that, we can always build more private prisons, and stock options to the private prisons can be offered to the community residents that were terrorized by these criminals. Bottom line, although there are no current illegal actions shown, it’s a TERRIBLE idea for politicians to work with criminals.
Former Alderman Lyle has been appointed a Judge. If the story is correct, there is no way she won’t be investigated for her connections to street gangs.
Concealed Carry has been voted down consistently by the Black politicians of Cook County, whether it’s the Black IL State Reps or the Chicago City Council. Does it really take high intelligence to figure out that their “former criminal” constituents are against it? Look at Tio Hardiman from Cease Fire. Twice, on WVON, he mentioned that the Black people of Chicago are incapable of handling guns. REALLY? The rest of Illinois and the nation can handle it, but Black Chicagoans can’t? And do we really need to go into his past background? Bottom line, these Black politicians are denying 2nd Amendment rights to IL citizens in order to please their “former criminal” constituents. YEAH, RIGHT!!!!!

I know you don’t see this as a story. I know that you, and many others in the Sixth Ward, are deeply focused on the ward remapping fiasco. (By the way, the Sixth Ward should lose NOTHING in the remapping! If Alderman Beale thinks snatching everything south of 87th St or 95th St will do him good, he’s a bigger fool than he looks. There is no way the people he takes away from the Sixth Ward are going to vote for him, regardless of the community organizations he’ll try to sway! And if Alderman Sawyer accepts this, he probably be in trouble politically, as well!)
So, I’ll say this:
Continue to focus on the remapping (which is an IMPORTANT matter), and I’ll focus on these rotten politicians.
